Flat Panels

Flat panel displays generally come in 2 basic flavors. Plasma & LCD Technologies.

Plasma which uses many tiny cells between two panels of glass that hold an inert mixture of noble gases. The gas in these cells are electrically turned into a plasma which then excites phosphors to emit light. This is an example of "emissive technology"

LCD (liquid crystal display) is an electronically-modulated optical device shaped into a thin, flat panel made up of any number of color or monochrome pixels filled with liquid crystals and arrayed in front of a light source (backlight) or reflector. This is an example of "transmissive technology".

Regardless of either option they offer high resolution & high contrast ratios, low maintenance costs, variety of mounting options, space savings & stylish appearance.
