There are "Three D's" to a successful digital signage implementation.
1. Displays The Displays include plasma, LCD, projection and in some cases CRT. We use Mitsubishi, LG, and Pioneer plasmas to name a few. Choosing the correct size and style display are important to delivering effective digital signage.
2. Delivery The Delivery System can be anything from free standing LCDs on pedestals, Bright Board or solid state jpeg. Mpeg card readers such as AGN- PRO.
The next level of appliances used would be custom made machines with full operating systems to optimize Digital Signage layouts such as video windows, tickers and crawls. PCC is using ICS Digital Signage and Exhibio for needs in this category. For more enterprising systems with multiple screens over multiple locations Scala and Omnivex are optimal software programs that can fulfill a higher level of sophistication and need.
3. Driving Force CONTENT IS KING. The Driving Force behind all successful D/S systems is of course content. The first step is to re-purpose existing content. Case studies have found that Fresh Dynamic Content is the difference between Success and failure of a Digital Signage System.
